BeerBods
Visual Identity, website, UI, digital, video and print
Online beer club and subscription service.
BeerBods had one simple aim; to get more people to drink better beer, supplying almost 3,000 subscribers with amazing craft beers from some of the best small independent brewers in the world.
From 2016 to 2022, I was an integral member of the BeerBods team, primarily responsible for overseeing the Visual Identity across various mediums, including print, packaging, and merchandise.
I worked with BeerBods to enhance their visual identity and expand their presence across various platforms. Building on BeerBod’s role as an online beer club and subscription service that is deeply rooted in community engagement.
Logo: BeerBods logotype is a custom logotype (original letters hand drawn by Rob Draper), feeling friendly and connecting with the community. The monogram is a simple B taken from the lettering that stays coherent with the logotype.

Visual Language: The visual system is friendly and approachable: simple typography doesn't detract from the unique typeface and curated photography (by Johnathan Cherry) is soft and genuine. Hand-drawn illustrations come together to build the BeerBods story which also makes a pattern that's recognisable and used across various brand mediums. The colour palette is simple and uncomplicated.
Pattern: The pattern adds an authentic and human quality to the brand. These hand-drawn illustrations add visual interest across various mediums, including website, print, packaging and merchandise.
Photography: BeerBods’ lifestyle photography style was led by the community concept. Leaning on environment and light throughout the seasons to connect with the BeerBods community throughout different times of the year. Feeling authentic and friendly.

Additionally, I was part of the team that launched "Build a Case", an innovative online shopping experience that required significant UI updates and a comprehensive user experience review. This included creating site maps, wireframes, and full-color mockups across all devices.
I managed other brand elements, such as video creation and editing for weekly live tastings, preparing illustrations and visuals for weekly featured beers, and conducting regular design updates and reviews of email templates and other brand assets.
